The first leg of the flight from Melbourne to KL was fine. Long, but ok. It was when we arrived in KL that we discovered from the departure board that our flight was cancelled. We went to the Malaysian Airlines desk to find out what was going on. They were completely unprepared!
No, the flight wasn't cancelled, just delayed by 11 hours, but we'd have to wait an hour for the manager to tell us what was happening. The customer service was terrible. No one knew what was happening and what the plan was.
In the end, up to 400 of us were bussed to a hotel for the night, but even that didn't go smoothly. We had to wait an hour and a half for the bus, with no official person there to let us know what was happening.
After an hour's bus ride, we made it to the over the top hotel, Palace of the Golden Horses. I'll upload photos when I can. Just ridiculous!
Anyway, to cut a long story short, we're meant to be on a 10.30am flight to Paris, arriving at 5.30pm. Unfortunately that means we miss a whole day in Paris, but what can you do?
Let's hope part two is more successful!
